Press Card Policy
Purpose
JP press cards identify individuals authorized to represent the journal for editorial, reporting, interview, and documentary activities under JP’s standards.
Eligibility
Press cards may be issued to:
The Editor-in-Chief
Staff or contributors with an active editorial assignment
Contributors with published work who continue reporting under JP’s editorial guidelines
Issuance is discretionary and subject to editorial review.
Information Displayed on the Card
Each press card includes:
Full legal name
Editorial role (PRESS / Reporter / Contributor / Editorial)
Photograph (mandatory for roles involving press identification)
Unique identification number
Validity period (expiry date)

Use & Conduct
Press cards are issued solely for journalistic and editorial purposes.
Cardholders must:
Accurately represent their role and assignment
Respect venue rules, safety protocols, and local regulations

Cardholders must disclose relevant conflicts of interest to the editorial desk.
Failure to disclose may result in suspension or revocation.
Revocation
JP — Independent Journal reserves the right to revoke a press card at its discretion in cases of:

Scope
The JP press card confirms the holder’s role as an independent editorial contributor or representative engaged in reporting, documentation, or cultural observation.
Rights
Cardholders may:
Identify themselves as an editorial contributor when covering cultural, artistic, or cinematic activities
Request access for interviews or documentation, subject to the policies of the host venue or institution
Final access decisions always remain with the event organizer, venue, or institution.
Limitations
The press card must not be used:
For personal, commercial, or promotional purposes
To imply institutional authority, legal power, or exclusive rights
Outside the context of editorial or documentary activity
The card does not constitute government affiliation, legal accreditation, or official press status beyond this publication.
Conduct & Responsibility
Press card holders are expected to act professionally, accurately represent their role and affiliation, and comply with applicable laws and ethical standards.
Any misuse may result in immediate revocation.
Validity & Disclaimer
Press cards are issued for a limited duration and may include an expiration date
