1) Is JP affiliated with any company or institution?
No. JP — Independent Journal operates with full editorial independence and is not affiliated with any production company, institution, political organization, or funding body.
2) Does the Editor-in-Chief’s personal work influence coverage?
JP maintains editorial separation between personal creative activity and editorial decision-making. Any potential conflict of interest is disclosed, and editorial decisions are made according to published standards.
3) How does JP handle disagreements or concerns about coverage?
We invite good-faith responses and corrections requests. Substantive concerns are reviewed by the editorial desk, and verified errors are corrected transparently.
2) Press Card Policy
Press Card Policy
Purpose
JP press cards identify individuals who are authorized to represent the journal for reporting, interviews, and editorial assignments.
Eligibility
Press cards may be issued to:
the Editor-in-Chief
staff or contributors with an active editorial assignment
contributors who have published work with JP and continue to report under JP’s editorial standards
Required Information (on the card)
Each card includes:
full name
role (PRESS / Reporter / Contributor / EDITORIAL)
photo (required for PRESS roles)
unique ID number
validity period (expiry date)
website (jpindependentjournal.org)
Use & Conduct
Press cards must be used only for journalistic activity. They do not grant legal authority, special rights, or unrestricted access. Cardholders must:
accurately represent their role and assignment
respect venue rules and safety protocols
avoid coercion, harassment, or misrepresentation
Conflicts & Disclosure
Cardholders must disclose relevant conflicts of interest to the editorial desk. Failure to disclose may result in suspension.
Revocation
JP may revoke a press card at any time in cases of:
misrepresentation or misuse
unethical conduct
repeated breach of editorial standards
inactivity beyond the validity period
